The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the repeated Zionist aggression against civilian targets, the latest being the attacks on the Oil Company station on 60th Street and the Haziz power station south of the capital, Sana’a.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the ministry reaffirmed that targeting civilian facilities constitutes a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as of the UN Charter, international law, international humanitarian law—particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and the First Additional Protocol of 1977.
The ministry stressed that the Zionist aggression will not go unpunished, affirming Yemen’s resolve to continue humiliating the criminal entity.
It praised the Yemeni air defenses for successfully neutralizing most of the Israeli warplanes involved in the attack and forcing them to retreat.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community and freedom-loving people worldwide to condemn the crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Yemen.
It also urged the international community to assume its humanitarian and moral responsibilities by pressuring the occupying entity to end its campaign of starvation, aggression, and blockade against the Palestinian people, which has persisted for nearly two years.
The ministry reaffirmed that Yemen’s principled moral and humanitarian stance in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza is consistent with international humanitarian law. It emphasized that this position is unwavering, regardless of the sacrifices, and represents the least that can be done to support the steadfast people of Palestine and their heroic resistance.
