Observatory: 95 Israeli Strikes on Syrian Territory in 2025 destroy 135 military targets

A detailed report issued today, Monday, by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented Israeli attacks on Syrian territory during 2025, noting a significant escalation.

According to the observatory, from the beginning of 2025 until early September, 95 Israeli strikes were recorded, including 84 airstrikes and 11 ground attacks, resulting in the destruction of more than 135 military targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles.

These strikes caused 61 fatalities, most of whom were civilians, including women and children, in addition to five unidentified individuals, including Lebanese nationals. Dozens were also injured to varying degrees.

The attacks were spread across several Syrian provinces, most notably Damascus and its countryside, as well as As-Suwayda, Daraa, Quneitra, and Aleppo, with civilian casualties reported in most of the airstrikes carried out by Israel.

The observatory noted that in the last month of 2024 alone, Israel carried out around 500 airstrikes, destroying hundreds of military targets, including air, ground, and naval bases, and causing significant damage to Syria’s military arsenal.

The report confirmed that the pace of Israeli strikes accelerated since the beginning of this year. In July alone, 26 strikes were recorded, killing 18 and injuring more than 30, most of them in As-Suwayda. Attacks continued through August and the current month of September.
