The capital Sana’a witnessed a million-strong procession today under the slogan “Two Years of Sacrifice… Loyalty to the Blood of the Martyrs,” reaffirming steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and pledging to follow the path of the martyrs with unbroken resolve.
The massive rally in Sabeen Square embodied deep popular awareness of the nation’s causes. The Yemeni people, the statement said, remain present in the squares of dignity and honor despite siege , aggression, steadfast in their faith-driven and jihadi course.
Participants raised the Yemeni and Palestinian flags and displayed images of the martyred jihadi commander Lieutenant General Mohammad Abdul Karim al-Ghamari and other fallen leaders who fell on the road to Jerusalem, chanting slogans that stressed readiness to confront the Zionist enemy should it resume aggression against Gaza or renege on any agreement.
The crowds expressed pride in making great sacrifices to support the Palestinian cause and to back the brothers in Gaza since the launch of “Operation Flood of al-Aqsa,” and in honoring the blood of martyrs who gave their lives defending land, honor, dignity and Islamic holy sites.
The demonstrators renewed calls to strengthen preparedness and continue support for the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance, vowing to follow the martyrs’ path of jihad and sacrifice for God. They affirmed that the pledge to the martyrs will not be forgotten and that their blood keeps the Palestinian cause alive in the Muslim world’s consciousness.
The statement added that the martyrs’ blood will remain a beacon for the freedom-loving peoples of the Ummah and a motivating force to continue steadfastness against forces of arrogance and domination, noting that the Yemeni people have consecrated their honorable positions with the blood of great martyrs.
Chants heard from the huge crowds included: “Two years by God’s grace — we walk by God’s Book,” “Two years — Yemen of faith — a flood beside the flood,” “The martyrs’ sacrifice is the fuel for the promised victory,” “A Yemeni Ansari sacrifice — led by al-Ghamari’s blood,” “Hashim succeeded — he met his Lord with a clear face,” and “al-Sinnawer, martyr of al-Aqsa — a boundless school of giving,” “On the anniversary of al-Sinnawer, peace — to the Al-Qassam Brigades.”
The crowds also chanted: “al-Ghamari and al-Sinnawer — leaders of the Flood of the Free,” “Our Yemeni stance is united — scholars, army and tribes,” “We will continue to monitor — if they betray, we will fulfill our duty,” “We continue by God’s help — and prepare for more than one round,” “Gaza, we are still with you — we will stay and if they return, we will return,” and “Gaza, Palestine — all Yemen stands with you.”
A statement delivered at the rally by Dhuff Allah al-Shami, member of Ansar Allah’s Political Office and of the National High Committee to Support al-Aqsa, said that the unprecedented turnout was by God’s grace and was a tribute and pledge to the martyrs, who are the fuel of the movement and living testimony to the sincerity of its direction and devotion to God. It described the martyrs as chosen by God and celebrated Lieutenant General Mohammad Abdul Karim al-Ghamari, chairman of the General Staff, as a great jihadi leader and one of Islam’s knights.
The statement credited the martyred al-Ghamari and his comrades across the formations of the mujahideen armed forces with playing a major role in delivering humiliating defeats to America at sea — alongside Britain — and to the criminal Zionist entity over two years. It said they proved to the world that God’s promise of victory for the faithful is true, even in the face of the most advanced global arsenals, and demonstrated that the enemy’s defeat is possible through reliance on God and sacrifice, and that sacrifice fuels further victories rather than halting the march of justice.
The statement recalled a constellation of great martyred leaders in this struggle, singling out the late leader Yahya al-Sinnawer on the anniversary of his martyrdom, and prayed for him and for other leaders martyred in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran and in Yemen — including civilian and military officials from all land, sea and drone formations, rocket , air defense units, mobilization, media, and ordinary citizens. Over the past two years of support, they said, these figures provided the greatest lessons in steadfastness and competing to sacrifice, refusing submission, surrender, or retreat. The statement vowed to continue on the same path without hesitation or backtracking until God’s promised victory is realized.
It affirmed the Yemeni people’s steadfast principled, religious, moral and humanitarian position with Gaza and with the Palestinian cause and al-Aqsa Mosque, insisting that this pledge to God and the martyrs will not be abandoned. Yemen, the statement said, will closely monitor developments in Gaza and is ready to return if the enemy acts treacherously or reneges; in such a case, Yemen will come back with greater resolve and preparedness across all levels, by God’s will.
The statement urged everyone, official and popular, in all fields to move with determination and seriousness to extract lessons and experiences from this round of conflict with the enemy, to prepare immediately for any coming round, and not to allow the enemy to be more serious, attentive, or prepared for injustice and wrongdoing than they are in their seriousness and readiness to establish justice and repel oppression.
“We seek refuge in God that the people of faith and wisdom would be otherwise at any time; that is neither true faith nor wisdom,” the statement said, quoting the Qur’an: “And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy…” (Qur’an).
Finally, the rally called on the peoples of the Ummah, sincerely and practically, to return to the Qur’an as the guiding light and law for life, warning that without this return they face ever worse outcomes at the hands of those most hostile to them — and stressing that there is no solution except by following God’s Book.
