President Al-Mashat: Our Forces Are Fully Prepared, Al-Ghamari’s Martyrdom Will Strengthen Our Resolve

Yemen’s President Mahdi Al-Mashat has reaffirmed the full readiness and steadfastness of the country’s military, assuring the Yemeni people that the martyrdom of General Muhammad Al-Ghamari will only deepen the nation’s strength and resolve in its ongoing confrontation.

In remarks on Monday, President Al-Mashat said: “The martyrdom of our brother and companion will only make us stronger and more determined than before. The blood of great men ignites the flame of courage and victory in the hearts of the free.”

He emphasized that the loss of the senior commander would not affect the continuity of military operations, noting that the necessary arrangements were implemented seamlessly in the first hours following Al-Ghamari’s martyrdom.

“Our great martyr was not alone. We have many like him — men of steadfast faith nurtured by our Qur’anic movement and its wise leadership,” he added.

Al-Mashat underscored that such sacrifices only fortify the revolutionary path, recalling that even the movement’s founding leader was martyred in its early days, yet the struggle grew stronger and more expansive afterward.

The president reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the steadfast people of Gaza, despite all challenges and sacrifices. He warned that all those serving the Zionist enemy or its backers “will face severe retribution.”

Referring to the security incident that led to Al-Ghamari’s martyrdom, Al-Mashat stressed that it does not represent a success for the Zionist enemy as claimed. Instead, he said, it revealed how the United States had exploited humanitarian work under the UN umbrella to assist the Zionist entity — a breach Yemeni authorities swiftly contained.

He praised the security services for “closing that loophole in record time,” ensuring no similar infiltration could recur.

Concluding his statement, President Al-Mashat offered condolences to the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, to the families of the fallen, and to the Yemeni people, describing Al-Ghamari as a hero who “met his Lord as a martyr in the noblest of battles — the defense of Gaza and the Palestinian cause.”

General Muhammad Al-Ghamari, Yemen’s Chief of Staff, was martyred while performing his duties in support of Gaza amid heightened confrontation with the Zionist enemy. A prominent military strategist and veteran of Yemen’s long struggle against US-Saudi aggression, Al-Ghamari played a leading role in Yemen’s regional military operations aligned with the Palestinian resistance.

His martyrdom comes as Yemen continues its regional efforts in solidarity with Gaza and in defiance of the Zionist entity and its allies.
