Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdulwahid Aburas on Friday condemned the gas deal between Egypt and “Israel”, saying it pleased “the criminal Netanyahu.”
Aburas described the deal as outwardly about gas but inherently a shame that will haunt the Egyptian government for generations.
He criticized Egypt for failing to support the Palestinian people in Gaza, who continue to suffer from harsh winter conditions, lack of basic necessities, and ongoing Israeli aggression—made worse by tens of billions provided through the deal.
He expressed hope that the Egyptian government would reconsider and cancel the “shameful” agreement.
Aburas reaffirmed Yemen’s principled and steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their just cause.
