Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her).. A Unique Model and Exemplar for the Muslim Woman

At a time when enemies seek to distort the identity of women through festivals of various forms held in Arab and Islamic countries, including the Land of the Two Holy Mosques, under names such as “entertainment and Mid-Bayest,” and others, the greatness of the Muslim woman is manifested in Islam’s honor for her, granting her her rights, and elevating her status as a “mother, sister, wife, and daughter.”

In this regard, the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) surveyed the opinions of a number of Yemeni women who shed light on the importance of commemorating the birth anniversary of Fatima Al-Zahra due to its significance in consolidating the faithful identity and enhancing women’s steadfastness and firmness.

The President of the National Women’s Committee, Dr. Ghada Abu Talib, emphasized the importance of celebrating the birth anniversary of Al-Zahra, especially in light of the enemies’ efforts to obscure her biography and present models of women that are not in accordance with the Islamic religion and the sublime values and principles it brought.

She considered the anniversary an important educational station for drawing lessons from the life of Al-Zahra in facing the challenges confronting the Yemeni woman, most notably the soft war directed at her by the enemies within the framework of seeking to strip the woman of her faithful identity.

She explained that Al-Zahra, in her human and faithful perfection, was the model and exemplar for believing women, pointing to the responsibility upon the nation to recognize the biographies of great women, especially in a period where the conflict with enemies has become comprehensive, including cultural and ethical conflict.

Dr. Abu Talib added, “We must realize that we are waging a great battle with the enemies and need cultural and psychological shelter, especially in light of the enemy’s direction to control thoughts and psychologies and seeking to corrupt society, foremost among them women and children.”

She indicated that the Yemeni woman’s role model was Lady Fatima Al-Zahra in her firmness and steadfastness, affirming that her pivotal role was represented in confronting the enemies, and she was a symbol of steadfastness, sacrifice, and jihad, and she defeated the enemies with her faith, steadfastness, and adherence to her identity and faithful culture.

For her part, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Akhlaq Al-Shami, spoke about the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra and aspects of her life journey and the noble qualities she was characterized by, which require the Muslim woman to adhere to them.

She pointed out that the Yemeni woman, in the ambiance of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima, draws inspiration from Islamic values and principles and embodies them in reality following the example of her mother, especially in light of the soft war waged by enemies against the Yemeni woman in particular and the Muslim woman in general.

For her part, the Director-General of Women at the Ministry of Information, Sumayya Al-Taifi, affirmed that Lady Fatima Al-Zahra is among the great personalities in Islamic history, as a paragon and symbol of purity, faith, and patience, and a supreme ideal for the Muslim woman and all humanity.

She said, “With the development of modern media means, the role of those means has become important in disseminating her fragrant biography and enhancing awareness of her status and principles, for there have been deliberate attempts to distort the image of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatima Al-Zahra, and conceal her fragrant biography from generations.”

Al-Taifi mentioned that the biography of the Chosen One’s sweet basil (a term of endearment for Fatima), prayers and peace be upon him, is a path that illuminates the way for the Muslim woman as she is among the righteous role models, and a journey of saving humanity from the state of confusion, loss, and perplexity prevailing at the present time.

Al-Sharafi reported that the enemies, within the framework of their satanic schemes, seek to target women through soft war to strip women of their values, principles, and morals and replace them with values and morals that are different and contrary to Islam, to make it easier for them to lead, contain, and change the solid components within societies.

She called for making the birth anniversary of Al-Zahra an international day for the Muslim woman, as she is a complete model of the woman, the righteous wife, the nurturing mother, the dutiful daughter, and the beneficial sister.

She said: “The enemies seek to influence generations by making celebrities of art and films as role models, and promoting a culture of dissolution and blind subservience to Western societies.”

Al-Sanbani touched upon the methods of soft war pursued by the aggression to corrupt the Muslim woman and society in general, which requires holding fast to the Quran and adhering to its teachings and emulating pioneering models in Islam, foremost among them Fatima Al-Zahra.

She added: “Let Fatima Al-Zahra be an example and role model for the Muslim woman in her patience, jihad, and endurance of all life’s hardships,” pointing to the responsibility placed upon the Muslim woman in building a cohesive family and interconnected society, considering the woman a mother, wife, sister, and daughter.

She said: “God Almighty honored women with Islam and opened for them the field of faithful and ethical elevation,” pointing to the war waged by enemies against the Islamic nation and the Muslim woman in particular to deviate her, influence her, and target her culturally, intellectually, and morally.

Activist Al-Hanash touched upon the status of women in the pre-Islamic era of ignorance, until Islam came to honor her and elevate her status, affirming that Al-Zahra was and will remain a role model for all women throughout time with her attributes, morals, and fragrant biography that she devoted to the obedience of God and His Messenger, prayers and peace be upon him and his family.
