Al-Murtadha: Implementation of Muscat agreement scheduled for January 27, but lists of those covered have not yet been finalized

The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdulqader Al-Murtadha, confirmed that the date set for implementing what was agreed upon in the Omani capital, Muscat, is January 27 of this month.

In a statement, Al-Murtadha said: “Unfortunately, the lists of prisoners and detainees to be included in the agreement have not yet been finalized, and the matter requires more time to be completed.”

He expressed hope that all parties would act with positivity and credibility at this stage and refrain from placing obstacles that could hinder the implementation of the agreement.
