International Conference held in Sana’a on confronting US-Zionist arrogance & plundering of peoples’ wealth
An international conference titled “Confronting US-Zionist Arrogance and the Plundering of Peoples’ Wealth… Latin America and the Republic of Yemen as a Model” was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the capital, Sana’a.
Participating in the international conference via video conferencing technology were the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdulwahid Abu Ras; the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency Saba – Editor-in-Chief, Nasr al-Din Amer; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Abdullah Sabri; the Head of the External Communication Team, Dr. Ahmed Al-Imad; a number of department heads at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; members of the External Communication Team; representatives of some Yemeni organizations; and forty political, human rights, and academic figures from Latin American countries.
In the opening of the conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abu Ras, welcomed the participating freemen and activists from Latin America for their attendance at this important international conference.
He pointed to the tragic situation historically experienced by Latin America due to American arrogance and attempts to strip the peoples of Latin America of their sovereignty and riches.
Abu Ras touched upon the struggle history of Latin America in resisting America’s arrogance and hegemony, and the scale of sacrifices and symbols of armed struggle, starting from Guevara to Fidel Castro and others.
He drew attention to Yemen’s strong and clear stance against the crime of aggression against Venezuela and its legitimate president, expressed by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the President of the Supreme Political Council, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This confirms that Yemen and Latin America are in the same trench confronting imperialism, American arrogance, and Zionism.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency Saba, Nasr al-Din Amer, pointed to the importance of convening this international conference, which is attended by freemen and activists from Yemen and Latin America.
He affirmed that what unites Yemen and the countries of Latin America are freedom and the common enemy, noting what the criminal Trump recently said—that he does not operate according to international law, but according to the values and principles he adopts.
He said, “We found those values and principles in the Epstein scandal,” affirming that Yemen’s stance in confronting America is a stance of actions, not words, and the United States of America knows this well.
Afterwards, excerpts were heard from the speeches of the Leader of the Revolution that touched on American arrogance in Latin America, most recently the kidnapping of the Venezuelan president and his wife, due to Venezuela’s liberation orientation and greed for its oil wealth. In addition, he praised the positions of Latin American countries opposing the Zionist aggression on Gaza, which surpassed the positions of Arab countries.
Interventions were made by a number of participants in the conference, affirming the unity of stance between the Republic of Yemen and the countries of Latin America in confronting imperialist policies and Zionist hegemony.
They renewed their affirmation of steadfast support for the Palestinian cause as a central issue, praising the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and their leadership in the face of aggression and siege.
The participants’ interventions commended the official and popular Yemeni stance in supporting Palestine and defending its legitimate rights, despite the aggression and siege that Yemen has been subjected to for over a decade, denouncing the American and Israeli crimes against the Yemeni people.
The speakers expressed their support for the steps taken by the Republic of Yemen in the Red Sea in defense of Gaza, affirming that these steps do not represent a threat to international navigation in the Red Sea.
They emphasized the importance of enhancing joint cooperation in the political, economic, and media fields, and exchanging expertise and awareness programs to confront attempts to control the capabilities of peoples.
