Shipping data released on Sunday revealed that at least 150 tankers, including those carrying crude oil and liquefied natural gas, were stranded in international waters in the Gulf outside the Strait of Hormuz, while dozens of other vessels and tankers were anchored on the other side of the strait, after the US-Israeli aggression against Iran threatened to drag the region into a new war.
According to Reuters, based on ship-tracking data from the Maritime Traffic platform, the tankers are stranded in international waters off the coasts of major oil-producing countries in the region, including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
