Iran: Arafi elected to revolutionary council

Mohsen Dehnavi, spokesman for Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, announced the election of Ali Reza Arafi to the Revolutionary Council.

Dehnavi stated on Sunday, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, that Arafi was elected to the Revolutionary Council as one of the jurists on the Guardian Council.

It is worth noting that following the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Article 11 of the Constitution was implemented, stipulating that the Revolutionary Council assumes power.

This council includes Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Head of the Judiciary Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, and Guardian Council member Ali Reza Arafi.
