Iranian Presidency: This heinous crime won’t go unanswered, will mark new chapter in history of Islamic world

The Iranian Presidency announced early Sunday morning that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, has ascended to the rank of martyr following the brutal American-Israeli attack.

In a statement, it added: “Until the very last moments of his blessed and historic life, he continued to lead the Islamic nation in confronting the forces of disbelief and tyranny.”

It further stated that “Imam Khamenei was a symbol of sacrifice and resistance in our time, and an imam of true promises and hope for the free and the oppressed.”

It said, “This heinous crime will not go unanswered and will mark a new chapter in the history of the Islamic world.”

It affirmed that “the pure blood of this venerable leader will be a flowing spring that strengthens the path of resistance and eradicates injustice.”

The Iranian Presidency concluded, “Our beloved Iran, relying on Allah’s victory, will overcome this difficult period united and with its head held high.”

The United States and the Zionist entity launched a joint aggression against Iranian territory, beginning Saturday. The airstrikes resulted in the martyrdom of hundreds and the wounding of many civilians, in blatant violation of international law.

In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the start of Operation “True Promise 4,” targeting the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
