In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed that the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, may Allah be pleased with him, will only strengthen the Iranian people’s resolve and determination. The path of struggle and defense of truth will continue unabated, and the martyr’s message will remain a guiding light for future generations.

The statement added, “With hearts filled with sorrow and grief, the Supreme Political Council received the news of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, who waged a long struggle against the enemies of the Islamic nation, the Zionists and the Americans, and whose life ended in martyrdom at the hands of the enemies of Allah and the killers of the prophets.”

The Supreme Political Council indicated that this heinous crime, perpetrated by the aggressive forces of the United States of America and the Zionist entity, represents a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and embodies the continued unjust aggression against the Islamic nation and its holy sites.

It noted that this crime simultaneously confirms that the blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain, and that the revolutionary will embodied by the martyr will remain a guiding light for the nation, increasing the believers’ steadfastness and determination to confront the tyrants and oppressors. It affirmed that the path of honor and struggle will continue, with Allah’s help, until a clear victory is achieved. The following is the text of the statement:
