The Political Bureau of Ansarullah issued a strong condemnation on Tuesday of the escalating Zionist aggression against the Republic of Lebanon, noting that violations have not ceased since the announcement of the ceasefire agreement—a scene unfolding before the eyes and ears of the world without any serious action from the Lebanese government or the parties guaranteeing the agreement to halt these repeated breaches.
In an official statement, Ansarullah political body asserted that the Israeli enemy’s continued aggressions represent a “dangerous and unjustified escalation” reflecting a clear determination to impose a fait accompli by force.
This, the statement said, constitutes an attempt to prevent Lebanon from exercising its legitimate right to respond to blatant aggression and flagrant violations of its territorial sovereignty.
The statement emphasized that “these aggressive policies are not sanctioned by international norms nor by the laws and charters that guarantee states the right to defend their sovereignty and security.”
Full Support for Lebanon’s Right to Respond
“We affirm the full right of Lebanon, both state and resistance, to respond to this brutal aggression and confront the declared Zionist-American schemes regarding the so-called ‘New Middle East’ or ‘Greater Israel,'” the statement declared.
At the same time, the Political Bureau praised “the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, headed by Hezbollah, for its care in preserving internal stability and foiling the schemes of those who wish evil upon the Lebanese people and seek to ignite sedition and destabilize civil peace.”
The Language of Force
The statement emphasized that the experience of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon over many decades has proven that “the Zionist enemy understands only the language of force.” It noted that attempts to “beg for peace” with the enemy have only led to further encroachment, expansion, and aggression against Arab lands.
The Ansarullah Political Bureau renewed its “complete solidarity with the Lebanese people in the face of Zionist rampage,” calling on Arab and Islamic countries to “adopt responsible positions that rise to the level of the challenges at this critical time and dangerous juncture.”
The statement urged the peoples of the nation toward “greater unity and vigilance in the face of the American-Zionist assault on the region, and to work as one rank in defense of our homelands’ sovereignty and our peoples’ rights.”
Dozens of Lebanese people, most of them women and children, were killed in attacks by Israeli enemy across southern Lebanon following Hezbollah’s entry into the front line with Iran.
The Israeli army claimed the strikes were a response to rockets fired by Hezbollah toward northern occupied Palestine and warned that further attacks would continue in the coming days.
