‘With Iran and Lebanon’: Million-Strong Rally in Sana’a Declares Yemen’s Readiness to Join Regional Battle

In a scene evoking the grandeur of Islam on the Day of Criterion—the Battle of Badr—Saba’een Square in the Yemeni capital witnessed an unprecedented million-strong rally on Friday under the banner: “With Iran and Lebanon, We Revive the Day of Criterion.”

A human flood engulfed Saba’een Square as masses from every district and neighborhood of the capital converged, creating a powerful tableau of faith and jihad.

The gathering included the elderly, youth, women, children, and even wounded and disabled participants—a majestic demonstration of Yemeni unity and steadfast commitment to the positions of Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

Participants raised banners of jihad and slogans supporting the mujahideen in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, affirming that the blood of martyrs in the Axis of Resistance countries is their blood. They declared that the decision for steadfastness and readiness to wage the “Battle of the Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad” is the decision of the Yemeni people, who stand today at the forefront of confrontation.

A statement issued by the rally affirmed the Yemeni people’s complete readiness for military action at any moment, considering the current battle as the battle of the entire nation against the “Greater Israel” project seeking to impose Zionist hegemony.

“We are in a state of open war with the enemies, and the Yemeni people stand as one rank alongside the Iranian people, its Islamic system, its army, and its Revolutionary Guards,” the statement declared.

The statement praised the qualitative strikes carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hezbollah against the enemy entity and American bases, as well as the achievements of the Iraqi resistance. It called upon Arab and Islamic regimes that have opened their territories to American and Zionist forces to “declare repentance and immediately retreat from this sin.”

The statement emphasized that American bases in the region have become a “burden and disgrace,” demanding they be expelled from all Islamic lands. It condemned Zionist-American strikes on civilian targets, describing them as “desperate attempts” to drag Arab countries into conflicts that serve only the Zionist project.

The statement urged all Muslims to elevate their level of awareness and serious movement to confront existential dangers, placing their trust in God and confidence in His inevitable victory. It affirmed that Yemenis remain steadfast and patient, and will not retreat from supporting the mujahideen in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, whatever the sacrifices.

This massive mobilization represents one of the largest public demonstrations in Yemen since the beginning of the war between Iran and the Israeli enemy, and ongoing Israeli aggression against Hezbollah.

The rally’s theme, “We Revive the Day of Criterion,” deliberately invokes the Battle of Badr, the first major military victory of the early Muslim community against its Meccan opponents. This framing imbues the current regional confrontation with profound religious significance, casting it as a continuation of the eternal struggle between truth and falsehood.
