Iranian Army: 104 Killed, 32 injured in U.S. attack on “Dena” ship

The Iranian Army announced on Sunday that a “brutal attack” by the U.S. Navy on the Iranian ship “Dena” on March 4 resulted in the deaths of 104 sailors and the injury of 32 others.

In a statement carried by the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), the army said the “Dena” was on a training mission returning from the Milan Peace 2026 exercises when it came under what it described as a brutal attack by the U.S. Navy.

The statement added that the 32 injured crew members are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Sri Lanka.

On the morning of Saturday, February 28, the United States and Israel launched what was described as a new aggression against Iran, which has resulted in hundreds of civilian casualties and targeted schools, hospitals, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure.

In response, Iran launched Operation “True Promise 4” against Israeli targets and U.S. bases in the region.
