The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the Spanish government’s decision on Wednesday to withdraw its ambassador to the Israeli entity in response to its opposition to the American-Israeli aggression against Iran.
In a statement , the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended Spain’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its supportive stance towards the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The Ministry affirmed that such positions reflect Spain’s commitment to the principles of international law and its rejection of policies of escalation and war, and contribute to achieving security and stability and establishing a just peace in the region.
The Ministry praised the historical relations that bind Spain to Arab and Islamic countries, stressing the importance of strengthening and developing them in various fields.
