Iran Files Complaint with UNESCO After 108 Historical Sites Damaged by US-Israeli Aggression

The Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage has submitted a formal protest and complaint to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) after 108 historical sites in the country were damaged as a result of attacks by the US-Israeli aggression.

The Iranian news agency Tasnim reported on Sunday that field documentation, recorded photographs, and initial assessments by restoration teams from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage have revealed shocking dimensions of a historical disaster. Official investigations indicate that the destruction caused by the US-Israeli attacks directly affected some of Iran’s most prominent and symbolic historical landmarks.
