Iranian FM: Enemy has failed, no negotiations with America despite intermediaries

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed on Wednesday that there will be no negotiations with the American side, despite its sending messages through various intermediaries.

In a press statement, as reported by the Iranian Al-Alam TV website, Araqchi stressed that Iran did not seek war and wants to end it, but it rejects a ceasefire that would allow the enemy to resume its attacks.

He said that the war waged by the United States and the Zionist entity against Iran has become a turning point in the country’s history, as Tehran has prevented two nuclear powers from achieving their objectives.

He explained that the enemy has failed to divide the country, has failed to achieve a swift victory, and has been unable to break national and popular unity, noting that the Iranian people demonstrate their support for the resistance in the streets every night.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also asserted that US bases in the region were used to launch operations against Iran, noting that Tehran harbors no animosity toward the countries of the region, but rather targets only US bases and the bases from which attacks against it are launched.

He called on neighboring countries to distance themselves from the Americans, expressing his astonishment at their failure to condemn the American-Zionist aggression against Iran.

Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Araqchi affirmed that the strait has become another defeat for the enemy, indicating that Tehran is considering special arrangements for its management even after the war ends. He added that the enemy resorted to other countries to open the strait but was unsuccessful, as it remains closed only to enemy vessels.

He pointed out that the Iranian government has done everything in its power to serve its citizens, aiming to alleviate their suffering from the effects of war. He emphasized that Tehran is documenting all violations committed against it during the war and will pursue them in international forums.

He reiterated that Iran did not seek war and wants to end it, but it does not want a ceasefire that would allow the enemy to resume its attacks. He emphasized that there will be no negotiations with the American side, despite Washington sending messages through various intermediaries.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a new aggression against Iran, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, and other infrastructure belonging to the Iranian people.

In response to the aggression, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 against Israel and American bases in the region.
