The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Tuesday that it had launched the 99th wave of Operation “True Promise 4,” targeting US positions in the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz, as well as military positions and command and control centers in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a statement published by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the Guard said: “Since dawn today, the naval and aerospace forces of the Revolutionary Guard have launched the 99th wave of Operation ‘True Promise 4,’ under the blessed invocation ‘O Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her),’ dedicated to the martyrs of the Jewish and Christian communities in the imposed wars.”
The statement added: “This wave of attacks targeted American bases and interests in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz region, as well as military installations and command and control centers in the occupied Palestinian territories. These attacks were carried out using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones, in a joint operation in response to the enemy’s crimes of attacking the Asaluyeh petrochemical plants and some of their facilities.”
It continued: “In the first phase of this wave, the largest petrochemical complex belonging to the American companies Sidra, ExxonMobil, and Dow Chemical, located in the Jubail region of Saudi Arabia, and the large petrochemical complex belonging to the American company Chevron Phillips, located in the Ju’aymah region of Saudi Arabia, were targeted with medium-range missiles and several attack drones.”
The Revolutionary Guard stated that it also targeted, in this wave, a container ship belonging to the Zionist entity. The ship was on a mission to transport military equipment needed by the entity overland, via the port of Khor Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates, without passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The targeting was carried out with pinpoint accuracy in an intelligence operation and a missile strike. He emphasized that the destruction of this ship serves as a warning to all vessels that wish to cooperate with the Zionist entity and America in any way.
It indicated that he targeted the site of the US-backed “CVN 72” aircraft carrier strike group in the depths of the Indian Ocean with long-range cruise missiles.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated, “The foolish American leaders, who have placed all their interests at the feet of the Zionists, do not even have the capacity to appreciate the significant assets within reach of our soldiers in response to attacks on our infrastructure.”
It reiterated, “If the terrorist American military crosses our red lines, our response will extend beyond the region. We have not been, and will not be, the initiators of attacks on civilian targets; however, we will not hesitate to retaliate against heinous attacks on civilian facilities.”
It vowed to inflict damage on the infrastructure of America and its partners, depriving America and its allies of the region’s oil and gas for years.
The Guard continued its statement: “America’s regional partners should also know that until today, we have shown great restraint out of concern for good neighborliness, and we have taken some considerations into account in choosing targets for retaliation, but all these considerations have now been removed.”
