Israeli enemy forces carry out widespread attacks in Lebanon in violation of ceasefire

In violation of the announced ceasefire in Lebanon, Israeli enemy forces carried out attacks on several areas on Saturday evening, including artillery shelling, house detonations, and warplane overflights.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported “hostile artillery shelling on the outskirts of the town of Deir Siryan, targeting the riverbed opposite Zawtar al-Sharqiya in Nabatieh.”

It added that “Israeli enemy forces are carrying out a large-scale detonation of homes in the towns of Markaba and Taybeh in the Marjeyoun district.”

It also stated that “Tal Nahas and the outskirts of Deir Mimas are being shelled by artillery, and the road between them has been cut.”

According to the agency, “Israeli warplanes are flying over the eastern sector, releasing thermal balloons, and are also flying at low altitude over the western and central sectors.”

The ceasefire agreement in Lebanon had come into effect at midnight Thursday-Friday, as a ten-day truce.
