Human Rights Watch calls for temporary crossings south of Litani to avert humanitarian catastrophe in Lebanon

Human Rights Watch called on donor states on Monday to coordinate with the Lebanese government to establish temporary crossings into areas south of the Litani River.

In a post on X , the organization stressed that creating these crossings is essential to prevent the worsening of the humanitarian catastrophe and to ensure aid reaches affected areas.

This follows an Israeli aggression on Lebanon that began on March 2 and lasted 46 days, claiming the lives of hundreds of civilians and wounding thousands more.
