Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns ongoing Israeli aggression on Palestine & Lebanon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Sunday in the strongest terms the ongoing Israeli aggression on Palestine and Lebanon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement issued by it that what the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are subjected to in terms of continuous bombardment, direct targeting of residential neighborhoods, incursions and attacks by settlers, and what Lebanon is witnessing of repeated attacks on its border towns, constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the ceasefire, and confirms the approach of the aggressive entity and its insistence on continuing escalation and destabilizing security and stability in the region and the world.

It pointed out that the Israeli enemy entity is trying to exploit the world’s preoccupation with the American-Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran to achieve its malicious objectives in Palestine and Lebanon.

The statement indicated that Palestine is the first trench of the nation and its first line of defense, and the failure of the enemy in Palestine will foil its plans in the rest of the countries.

It warned that the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran may drag the region into a wide war that threatens international peace and security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its affirmation of the firm position of the Republic of Yemen in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and their legitimate right to self-defense and to confront the Israeli aggression.
