Iraqi President tasks Coordination Framework nominee with forming government

President Nizar Amidi has tasked Ali Al-Zaydi, the Coordination Framework’s nominee, with forming Iraq’s next government, the Iraqi News Agency reported.

The Coordination Framework earlier announced Al-Zaydi’s nomination for prime minister after a meeting in Baghdad, where he was chosen as the bloc’s candidate as the largest parliamentary group.
