Palestinian Prisoners Club: 9,400 Detainees in Israeli Prisons

The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported, in an update issued as of the beginning of July 2026, based on data from prisoners’ institutions and announcements by the Israeli Prison Service, that the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons has reached approximately 9,400.

In a statement issued today, Thursday,  the Club clarified that among them are 99 female prisoners and more than 350 child prisoners, held by the Israeli authorities in Megiddo and Ofer prisons. The statement also noted the presence of 3,244 administrative detainees and 1,320 detainees classified by Israel as “unlawful combatants,” indicating a continued escalation of arrest campaigns in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with the ongoing genocide.
