Iran: Between 7 and 8 Million Participated in Khamenei’s Funeral in Mashhad

Amirollah Shamghadri, Deputy Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province for Security and Police Affairs, announced that between 7 and 8 million people participated in the funeral procession for the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in the city of Mashhad.

The Fars News Agency quoted Shamghadri on Saturday, on the sidelines of a meeting of the local committee organizing the funeral procession, as saying: “We thank God that this solemn ceremony in the holy city of Mashhad was held without any loss of life.”
