Foreign ministry condemns ongoing US crimes in Iran

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned on Thursday the ongoing US war crimes in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement, the Ministry denounced the US attack on the vicinity of Shahid Baghaei Children’s Cancer Hospital in Ahvaz, which forced Iranian authorities to evacuate the hospital to ensure the safety of patients.

The Ministry considered this attack a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 concerning the protection of civilians in times of war.

The statement emphasized that America’s hands are stained with the blood of Iranian children, and that this crime is an extension of America’s crimes against them, especially the massacre at Minab Girls’ Primary School, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 165 girls.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called upon the international community, particularly the Security Council and all human rights organizations, to condemn this heinous crime, emphasizing that silence in the face of such crimes has emboldened the United States to continue committing them.

It stressed that those who claim to uphold human rights must raise their voices and abandon their policy of double standards.
