Release of 35 Prisoners from Gaza Strip After Their Arrest During Genocide War

The Israeli enemy authorities released this evening, Sunday, 35 prisoners from the Gaza Strip, including one woman, after they had been arrested for varying periods from different areas of the Strip during the ongoing genocide war.

The freed prisoners arrived at Nasser Medical Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, via International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) teams, following their release and transfer from the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said in a brief statement reported by the “Sund” news agency: “We facilitated the transfer of 35 released detainees from the Kerem Shalom crossing to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.”

The release operation comes as thousands of Palestinians arrested by Israeli enemy forces from the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the genocide war remain in detention, with a complete lack of information regarding the fate and conditions of large numbers of them.

According to the latest data issued by Palestinian prisoners’ institutions as of early July 2026, the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli enemy prisons stands at approximately 9,400, including about 1,320 detainees from the Gaza Strip classified by the Zionist entity’s authorities under the designation of “unlawful combatant.”

Prisoners’ institutions confirmed that these figures do not include thousands of Palestinian detainees held in military camps and secret detention centers belonging to the Israeli enemy army, including the “Sde Teiman” camp, in the absence of sufficient official information regarding their numbers, conditions, and places of detention.

It is worth noting that Palestinian prisoners released by the Zionist enemy from its prisons suffer from difficult health conditions due to the multiple brutal torture methods used by the enemy against them.
