Capital women celebrate Prophet’s Birthday at grand central event
Women of the Capital Sana’a celebrated Tuesday the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday for the year 1448 AH with a grand central event organized by the Women’s Preparatory Committee for the Prophet’s Birthday in the Governorate, in accordance with the Almighty’s words: {Muhammad and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves.}
The military academy grounds were adorned with the colors of the occasion, as banners were raised and expressions of love and loyalty to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) echoed. This scene embodied the presence of Yemeni women in commemorating this anniversary, renewing their connection to the life, guidance, and path of the Prophet, and recalling the values he brought to the nation, foremost among them faith, dignity, mercy, steadfastness, and the defense of truth.
The event presented a striking display of women’s faith, with participation extending from women to children, in a public display that reflected the widespread engagement with the Prophet’s birthday. It expressed adherence to the guidance and life of the Prophet, and a reaffirmation of the values he brought to the nation, foremost among them faith, dignity, mercy, steadfastness, and the defense of truth.
At the event, cultural activist Bushra Badr al-Din al-Houthi affirmed that commemorating the Prophet’s birthday is a sincere expression of love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), a connection to his guidance and life, and an opportunity to draw inspiration from the values of dignity, steadfastness, striving in the path of God, and supporting the oppressed.
She said, “As the people of Yemen celebrate the birth of the Prophet of Mercy, they recall a history of resilience and steadfastness, the great victories and achievements they have attained in confronting the forces of aggression, and the unwavering unity and will they have demonstrated despite years of war and siege.”
She added, “These stances embody the fruits of faith-based awareness, Quranic culture, and following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).”
Al-Houthi pointed out that the victories achieved by the Yemeni people in confronting the Saudi aggression and its allies, along with their steadfastness, resilience, and development of defensive capabilities, stand as proof that when a nation draws its strength from its faith, the Book of its Lord, and the guidance of its Prophet, it can stand against the forces of arrogance and preserve its sovereignty, dignity, and decision-making power.
She explained that “Muhammad and those with him” is not merely a slogan for celebration, but a guiding principle in stance, steadfastness, loyalty, and disavowal. Adherence to the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) necessitates standing with the truth, supporting the oppressed, and confronting aggressors. This is what the Yemeni people have embodied through their unwavering positions on the issues of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
The event featured a variety of segments expressing joy at the Prophet’s birthday, including poetry recitations, meaningful dialogues, and two operettas that reflected love and devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). These performances also showcased the creative talents of the students from the Generation of the Quran schools.
The event concluded amidst an atmosphere of jubilation and joy, during which the women of the capital city renewed their commitment to following the path of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and continuing their role in building faith-based awareness and raising future generations on the Quran and Islamic identity.
