Elderly Man, Daughter Killed in Saudi-Backed Shelling in Hodeidah

An elderly man and his daughter were killed, while his wife and a relative were seriously injured after Saudi-backed forces shelled a civilian home in the countryside of Al-Jarahi District, Hodeidah Province.

Relatives said a shell directly struck the house, killing 60-year-old Abdullah Mohammed Khlouf and his daughter, Rahma, and seriously injuring his wife and another relative. The attack also killed livestock and damaged the family’s property.

Separately, an elderly man was killed by sniper fire from Saudi-backed forces in Al-Kuraifat village, Sabir Al-Mawadim District.

The attack comes as part of the ongoing escalation by the Saudi military against several regions in Yemen, where towns and villages are frequently subjected to heavy artillery and rocket bombardments targeting civilians and their property.
