Government Spokesman hails military operation deep inside Saudi territory in response to crimes against Yemenis

The Government spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaity hailed the large-scale military operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces deep inside Saudi territory in response to Saudi crimes against the Yemeni people, the latest of which was the Al-Hazm Central Prison massacre in Al-Jawf, which killed dozens of inmates and visitors, including a woman and a child.

In a statement , Al-Bukhaity said the operation also came in response to continued Saudi violations of Yemeni sovereignty, including more than 121 airstrikes on several governorates in recent days, as well as the continued mobilization and arming of affiliated militias inside Yemen to threaten the country’s security and stability.

He praised the Yemeni Armed Forces’ swift response and precision operation, saying it once again demonstrated their high level of readiness to deter any aggression against the Republic of Yemen and reflected the Yemeni people’s determination, backed by the Armed Forces, to defend the homeland and end the injustice imposed upon it.

“After 12 years of continued Saudi aggression and blockade against our country, and its failure to fulfill the requirements for peace while escalating its violations and crimes against Yemenis, the Republic of Yemen has the full right and legitimacy to defend itself and respond to comprehensive escalation with comprehensive escalation,” the spokesman said.

He added: “We cannot in any way witness the blood of our children and women being shed by the Saudi war machine and remain silent. Almighty Allah has granted every oppressed and aggressed-upon person the right to respond in kind,” citing the Quranic verse: “Whoever transgresses against you, then transgress against him in the same manner as he has transgressed against you. And be mindful of Allah, and know that Allah is with the mindful.”

Al-Bukhaity stressed that the only way forward for Saudi Arabia is to meet Yemen’s legitimate demands by ending the aggression, lifting the blockade, reopening airports and ports, and relinquishing control over Yemen’s resources so that the Yemeni people can benefit from their wealth and resources. “Any attempts otherwise will fail and bring nothing but suffering and losses,” he said.
