Saudi Footage Contradicts Riyadh’s Narrative, Shows New Damage to Aramco Sites and Military Bases
Al-Masirah TV on Wednesday afternoon released new footage recorded by Saudi citizens showing flames, thick smoke and extensive damage following large-scale Yemeni operations targeting vital facilities belonging to Saudi oil giant Aramco in Abha, Najran and Jizan, as well as Khamis Mushait Air Base and the economic zone.
The videos and photographs provide detailed documentation of strikes on specific government and oil facilities, challenging Saudi official media claims that the attacks had targeted civilian areas and sites.
The footage also emerged despite strict restrictions imposed by the Saudi authorities on filming or documenting the locations of strikes inside the Kingdom. The authorities have reportedly threatened those who publish such footage with legal prosecution and severe penalties.
The new footage comes amid escalating Yemeni-Saudi tensions and a sharp increase in air operations against Yemen.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree previously announced that the large-scale operation involved dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, considering it a response to Saudi military escalation.
Saree said Saudi warplanes had carried out more than 121 airstrikes across several Yemeni provinces over the previous three days, prompting a legitimate retaliatory operation against Saudi military and strategic targets.
