Government Spokesman: Saudi enemy escalation will not go unanswered

Government Spokesperson Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti affirmed on Sunday that the criminal Saudi enemy is escalating its heinous crimes against the Yemeni people. Scarcely a day goes by without the Al-Saud regime shedding fresh Yemeni blood and deliberately targeting bridges, schools, health facilities, and all forms of infrastructure.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Dr. Al-Bukhaiti explained that aircraft belonging to the criminal Saudi enemy bombed commercial shops today at the Taiz Central Market near the Mawiyah Junction. Preliminary figures indicate that 47 civilians including five children were killed or wounded in the attack.

He described the targeting of civilians as a brutal, premeditated war crime. He stated that the criminal Saudi regime should have responded to the Yemeni people’s legitimate demands halting its aggression, lifting the blockade, and respecting neighborly relations instead of persisting in the bloodshed of an Arab Muslim people. Yet, the regime insists on shedding Yemeni blood to carry out directives from Tel Aviv and Washington and to serve their agendas against the people of the nation.

The government spokesperson condemned the continued international silence regarding the crimes committed against the Yemeni people, addressing the international community: “The Yemeni people will defend themselves against those who have targeted their children, women, resources, and infrastructure. You ought to be ashamed of your complicity with a criminal enemy that has been killing Yemen’s children and women relentlessly for 12 years.”

He reiterated that this crime would not go unanswered.
