President Al-Mashat: Our battle aims to end Saudi aggression , blockade & restore Yemen’s national wealth
President of the Supreme Political Council Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat said the October 14, 1963 Revolution and all revolutions against foreign occupation throughout history prove that glory belongs to those who stand with their homeland and people, while shame awaits those who serve as mercenaries for foreign aggressors.
In a speech delivered on Monday evening marking the 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, Al-Mashat urged Yemenis, particularly the descendants of the revolutionaries in the southern provinces, to follow their ancestors’ path and rise against what he described as the new occupation represented by the Saudi enemy.
He said the current battle aims to end 12 years of Saudi aggression and blockade, reclaim Yemen’s national wealth, and expel all occupiers from Yemeni territory.
Al-Mashat praised the sacrifices of Yemenis who fought British occupation, stressing that their struggle demonstrated that the will of peoples is stronger than any occupying or tyrannical force. He said Yemenis today are continuing that struggle against Saudi attempts to occupy their land, subjugate their people, and plunder their resources.
He urged those involved in the Saudi-led military mobilization to abandon their allegiance and return to what he described as the path of truth, warning that history would condemn those who serve foreign powers.
Al-Mashat said Yemen’s conflict is with the Saudi enemy, which he accused of launching the aggression , mobilizing militias to occupy and control the country. He stressed that Yemen would continue confronting the aggression until the blockade ends and the occupation plans are thwarted.
He condemned Saudi attacks on civilians and civilian facilities, which he said had killed women and children, affirming Yemen’s right to respond in accordance with Islamic law and international law.
He also denounced the killing of Yemeni armed forces prisoners by Saudi-backed militias on the outskirts of Dhubab district, reportedly through gunfire and being run over by US-made armored vehicles. He described the acts as violations of Islamic values, Yemeni traditions, and international law, holding the Saudi enemy fully responsible and warning that those responsible would not escape punishment.
Al-Mashat reaffirmed that international shipping remains safe and that Yemen is committed to its international obligations. He said the Saudi enemy’s alleged transformation of the Bab al-Mandab Strait into a war zone poses the real threat to maritime security, calling on the international community to condemn such actions.
He called on residents of occupied areas to raise awareness, reject Saudi plans, and prevent their territories from being used as bases for military mobilization or aggression against Yemen. He urged them to honor the sacrifices of the October 14 revolutionaries by opposing occupation and colonialism.
Al-Mashat also cautioned Arab and Muslim governments against being drawn into aggression against Yemen, saying they had nothing to gain from such involvement. He described these efforts as part of US-Israeli plans to weaken Muslim countries, embroil them in internal conflicts, and advance a project aimed at reshaping the Middle East and establishing Israeli hegemony over the region.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. May peace and blessings be upon the Master of Messengers, Muhammad, his pure and righteous family, and his chosen companions.
On my own behalf and on behalf of my colleagues on the Supreme Political Council of the Republic of Yemen, I extend my congratulations to our dear Yemeni people on the 63rd anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution. I also extend my sincere congratulations to Leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, may Allah protect him, as well as to the heroes of the armed forces and security services, the steadfast defenders of our mountains, deserts and coasts, all comrades in arms and struggle, and every partner in our national cause, including political parties, intellectuals, scholars, tribal leaders, dignitaries and all honorable and free men , women working in official and popular spheres and across all fronts of the comprehensive liberation struggle.
Dear Yemeni People,
Today, we celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the immortal October 14 Revolution, paying tribute to a glorious chapter in our history. We proudly recall the struggle of our great people , the sacrifices of our fathers and grandfathers, who courageously confronted the hated British occupation, its tools , mercenaries, rejected foreign guardianship and domination.
They endured hardship, made sacrifices , gave countless martyrs and wounded until they won freedom, expelled the British occupiers from their land and safeguarded their people’s dignity. They proved that the will of nations is stronger , more resilient than all forces of occupation and tyranny.
The same is true of you today, dear Yemeni people. It is as though history is repeating itself. Just as our fathers confronted British occupation in the past, their descendants continue the same struggle today, carrying the banner, principles and values of October 14 while confronting the new occupation represented by the Saudi enemy, which has been attacking Yemen for 12 years and seeks to occupy our land, subjugate our people and plunder our resources. The former occupier is using this regime in the hope of returning, but that will never happen.
Through your steadfastness, courage, resilience and great sacrifices, you have written a national epic that history will never forget. You have thwarted the enemy’s plans. Today, the spirit of October 14 is revived by the heroes of the Yemeni armed forces, whose striking arm is September 21 Yemen. History appears to be repeating itself as the sacrifices of our forefathers converge with the steadfast positions of their descendants, bringing past , present together on the path to freedom, sovereignty and independence.
This makes us recognize the significance of our present struggle: commitments are renewed, revolutions carry forward the legacy of earlier revolutions, history repeats itself, loyalty is answered with loyalty, and victories reinforce one another. National positions are never forgotten; they endure across generations, carried by free people from one generation to the next. Thus, the banner of truth raised yesterday remains raised today, tomorrow and forever.
Likewise, the forces of falsehood reproduce themselves under different names and forms. Yesterday’s occupation is mirrored by today’s, traitors follow in the footsteps of traitors, and mercenary activity repeats itself. Shame and disgrace continue to accompany falsehood throughout its historical course.
It is therefore a source of pride that our free people celebrate this revolution with their heads held high, seeing the principles and rifles of October 14 embodied in the hands of our armed forces, in the power of our advanced missiles and remarkable drones, and in the objectives of the September 21 Revolution. Today, the latter stands as the legitimate heir and natural continuation of the October 14 Revolution.
That revolution remains alive in the hearts of Yemenis, present on the battlefield and reflected in the positions of the brave men who carry the banner of defending the homeland, its sovereignty and its independence.
Brothers and Sisters,
The October 14 Revolution, like all revolutions throughout history against foreign occupation, affirms an enduring truth that does not change with time or circumstances: glory belongs forever to those who stand with their homeland and people, while disgrace belongs to those who enlist as mercenaries serving foreign aggressors.
From this standpoint, we call on all Yemenis, particularly the descendants of the October 14 revolutionaries in the proud provinces that produced outstanding examples of resistance and liberation and made enormous sacrifices against British occupation, to continue the path of their ancestors and rise against the new occupation represented by the Saudi regime.
We affirm that the battle uniting us today aims to end the Saudi aggression and unjust blockade imposed on our people for 12 years, reclaim our national resources and expel every occupier from our land.
I remind the criminal Saudi enemy that the wisest among those involved in the invasion of Yemen are those who leave before it is too late. To those deceived individuals whom the Saudi enemy has recruited into its mobilizations, I say: just as history rejected the mercenaries of British occupation, it will inevitably reject you today unless you reconsider your position and return to the truth. Otherwise, history will curse you forever.
To every member of the Saudi-backed mobilized groups, imagine being killed while serving as an agent of foreign powers seeking to rule Yemen and keep its sovereignty open to foreign interference. This will never happen while Yemen has free and honorable men defending it.
Just as we celebrate the immortal October 14 Revolution and the heroes who made the glories of yesterday, future generations will also celebrate everyone who stood with their homeland, safeguarded its dignity and defended its independence.
Dear Yemeni People,
For decades, Yemen has been afflicted by a hostile and resentful neighbor that has never ceased conspiring against it and targeting it, using every means to prevent its development and stability.
Since its establishment, the Saudi enemy has carried out a series of attacks against Yemen, seeking to seize Yemeni territory, plunder its resources and impose guardianship over its national decisions. We have not forgotten the Al-Wadi’ah battle between the October 14 forces and the Saudi enemy.
In the eyes of Yemenis, Saudi policies have long represented one of the most significant challenges to Yemen’s pursuit of independence, sovereignty and freedom. At various stages of Yemen’s history, repeated attempts have been made to influence its political and economic course and obstruct the establishment of a strong, independent Yemeni state that represents the will of its people , uses its wealth and capabilities for their benefit.
With its strategic location and abundant resources, Yemen has remained a target of projects seeking domination and influence, which regard its development and independent decision-making as threats to their interests and calculations.
It is therefore unsurprising that these policies have opposed many major national milestones and that Yemenis view them as a factor weakening the state and obstructing its development. Despite possessing the foundations needed to become a strong and prosperous country, Yemen has for many years faced obstacles preventing it from investing its resources and wealth in ways that promote development and prosperity for its people.
This underscores the importance of drawing inspiration from the principles of the October 14 Revolution as a national liberation movement against occupation and foreign guardianship, one that championed an independent state with full sovereignty.
Yemenis now have a historic opportunity to consolidate this national project and build a strong and just state that places Yemen’s interests and those of its people above all else. Its resources and capabilities must be directed toward reconstruction, development and improving citizens’ living standards, free from dependence on foreign powers or submission to any form of domination or subordination.
The state envisioned by the October 14 revolutionaries, martyrs and free fighters was one of sovereignty, independence and justice, where Yemen and its people come first. The Port of Aden, the ports of Hadramout, Shabwa and Hodeidah must not be obstructed for the sake of the prosperity of ports in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
This message remains alive in the hearts of Yemenis and calls for greater unity, hard work and sincerity to achieve what generations of Yemenis have struggled for: pride, freedom, dignity and independence.
In conclusion, we affirm the following:
1. Yemen’s problem lies with an illegitimate and coup-making Saudi enemy; without it, Yemen would be well. This regime initiated the aggression against us and mobilized its militias to occupy and control our country. We are committed to confronting it until it ends its aggression and blockade. We will target its mobilizations to prevent it from achieving its openly declared objective of occupying our country, which it will never accomplish.
Anyone who turns against their own people, relatives and kin is unqualified to support legitimate governments; one who lacks something cannot give it.
2. The criminal Saudi enemy’s repeated fabrications and false allegations that Yemen targeted Madinah reflect the helplessness and failure of a regime acting in accordance with Zionist plans.
We hold the criminal Saudi enemy fully responsible for any attack on Makkah, pilgrims and visitors to the Sacred House of Allah, Madinah or the Prophet’s Mosque, may the best prayers , peace be upon the Prophet and his family, as well as for any attempt to pin such a crime on the Muslim Yemeni people.
We affirm that if the regime commits such a reckless act, the Islamic nation—with its scholars, peoples, intellectuals and youth, foremost among them the Yemeni people, renowned for faith and wisdom—will not remain silent. It will take a clear and practical stand in defending Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites by every possible means. For us, the holy sites are a red line.
We renew our call on all regimes and entities issuing statements or taking positions endorsing the criminal Saudi enemy’s false allegations against our dear Yemeni people to reconsider their positions and adhere to Islamic principles of verification and fact-checking before passing judgment.
Our Yemeni people reserve their legal and moral right in this regard. Allah Almighty says:
“O you who believe, if a disobedient person brings you news, verify it, lest you harm people out of ignorance and then become regretful for what you have done.”
3. Salutations on this day to our heroic fighters in the armed forces and security services, who are achieving successes in driving out the mobilized forces of the criminal Saudi enemy.
We also extend our gratitude and appreciation to our free and honorable brothers in the proud province of Taiz for their cooperation and considerable efforts alongside the Yemeni armed forces and security services to protect Taiz city from Saudi enemy plots.
They have demonstrated to all, near and far, a high level of awareness of the criminal Saudi enemy’s conspiracies against the Yemeni people and have refused to heed the voices of agents speaking from hotels in Riyadh.
We also advise those who remain in the Saudi-backed mobilized groups to take advantage of the presidential amnesty, which remains in effect, to settle their affairs and protect their lives. They will be granted safety if they do so.
4. We condemn the crimes of Saudi aggression and the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure, which have claimed the lives of women and children. These unrestrained crimes expose the brutality of a regime founded on criminality and the killing of innocent people.
We affirm our legitimate right to respond to these crimes in accordance with Islamic law and international law. Allah Almighty says:
“Whoever transgresses against you, respond in kind to the extent of the transgression against you.” Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
5. We condemn the brutal crime committed by militias affiliated with the Saudi enemy, which involved executing a number of Yemeni armed forces prisoners by shooting them and running them over with American-made armored vehicles on the outskirts of Dhubab District.
This barbaric act has no connection to the teachings and values of Islam or the customs and traditions of the Yemeni people. It is condemned under all international conventions and laws.
We hold the criminal Saudi regime fully morally and legally responsible for these crimes and affirm that, Allah willing, those responsible will not escape punishment.
6. We reaffirm that international maritime navigation is safe and that we remain committed to our international obligations concerning it. The threat to international maritime security comes from the Saudi enemy turning the Bab al-Mandab Strait into a war zone. We call on the international community to condemn this action.
7. We call on our brothers in the occupied areas to raise their awareness, reject the schemes of the Saudi enemy, which harbors ill intentions toward all of us, and prevent it from using the country as a center for mobilizing forces or a launching ground for aggression.
Today, we must all stand with October 14 against the forces of occupation and colonialism, in loyalty to the sacrifices of the heroic October 14 revolutionaries.
8. We renew our warning to certain Arab and Islamic regimes and governments that the Saudi enemy is attempting to drag into its aggression against Yemen: they have no interest in participating.
These attempts to draw them into an unjust war against a fellow Arab and Muslim people are an extension of American-Zionist efforts to target and weaken Islamic countries , governments and embroil them in internal wars in service of a project to reshape the Middle East and establish Zionist domination over it.
May mercy and eternal peace be upon the martyrs, recovery for the wounded, relief for the prisoners, and victory for our beloved Yemen.
Long live the Republic of Yemen.
May the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you.
