Government spokesman Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti strongly condemned Saudi enemy’s threat to target civilian tribal gatherings, warning that proceeding with such a reckless act would provoke a response unlike any before.
In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), Al-Bukhaiti said the threat reflected the political and moral collapse of the Saudi enemy, describing its designation of civilian tribal gatherings as military targets as evidence of planned war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law.
He stressed that threatening Yemeni tribes was a grave mistake for which Saudi enemy would pay a heavy price, noting that history had repeatedly shown that those who confront Yemen’s free, honorable and courageous tribes ultimately face defeat.
Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that the tribal nakaf—a traditional form of peaceful tribal mobilization—is deeply rooted in Yemen’s centuries-old heritage , constitutes a legitimate right under religious principles, custom and law. He said threats to kill Yemenis would only condemn those making them before the world and hasten their downfall.
He added that the Saudi regime’s confusion , reckless decisions reflected the military and moral defeats it had suffered at the hands of the Yemeni people, exposing what he described as its criminal nature and disregard for all red lines.
The government spokesman paid tribute to Yemen’s tribes, sheikhs, dignitaries and honorable people, urging them to remain fully prepared, unite their ranks, support the fronts and mobilize all efforts to deter Saudi aggression.
He reaffirmed that the Yemeni people were engaged in a decisive struggle to defend themselves against what he described as unjust aggression and a brutal blockade unprecedented in the world.
Al-Bukhaiti concluded by stressing that the Yemeni people would continue their path toward liberation until achieving full independence, liberating their land and restoring their rights, regardless of the sacrifices involved.
