The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated on Thursday that, following the heinous crime committed against Yemeni fishermen off the coast of Al-Kadha in the Dhubab district, the Saudi regime has repeated its aggression by bombing a yacht near Zuqar Island in the Red Sea, resulting in casualties of Indian nationality.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the Yemeni Armed Forces promptly intervened to rescue those they could from among the victims of the yacht, which had been targeted by the Saudi enemy.
The Ministry emphasized that the recurrence of such crimes in the Red Sea is a condemnable and reprehensible act, reflecting a state of desperation. It described these actions as a Saudi attempt to militarize the Red Sea this, despite the fact that the Yemeni Armed Forces have provided tangible evidence that they pose no threat to international navigation, and that the conflict is strictly confined to those who commit aggression against Yemen, who will be met with a reciprocal response.
The statement noted that, faced with clear failure on the battlefield, the criminal Saudi regime is seeking to commit acts of aggression at sea to escalate the situation, with the aim of provoking international intervention to rescue Saudi Arabia from its predicament.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs concluded its statement by saying: “We warn the nations of the world against falling into this Saudi trap. We reiterate that there is no threat to international navigation in the Red Sea originating from Yemen, and that the Saudi regime must bear the consequences of militarizing the Red Sea.”
