Abdul Salam: Our Yemeni people have not forgotten their own rights in battle to support Gaza, despite Saudi aggression, blockade
The head of the national delegation, Mohammed Abdul Salam, affirmed that the Yemeni people, in their support for Gaza, have not forgotten their internal struggle and their rights resulting from the Saudi aggression and the ongoing blockade of Sana’a International Airport.
In a tweet today on the “X” platform, Mohammed Abdul Salam stressed that there is no justification for keeping Sana’a Airport closed to air traffic. He expressed hope that the new year would be a year of goodness, victory, and success for the Yemeni people, the Palestinian people, and the entire Islamic nation.
He said, “After a year filled with many challenges and sacrifices, there are other challenges and opportunities that the nation must confront, especially the Palestinian axis, which is fighting the Israeli enemy entity and confronting it on more than one front, steadfast in its position of confrontation and struggle, no matter the challenges, realizing that any weakness or humiliation before an enemy like Israel and America is a certain loss in this world and the hereafter.”
He also emphasized that the blockade imposed on Yemeni airports and seaports constitutes collective punishment of the Yemeni people, given its devastating humanitarian consequences for all segments of Yemeni society. He added that it also represents a major obstacle to any efforts seeking humanitarian and political solutions to the overall situation.
The head of the national negotiating delegation pointed out that the end of the coalition and the emergence of Saudi Arabia as the sole power broker represents a significant development that concluded the past year. He asserted that the bet on the continuation of the aggression and blockade has proven unsuccessful and will only lead to further losses. He added, “Therefore, for those who are rational and understanding, the new year presents an opportunity to address the various issues resulting from the Saudi-American aggression that Yemen has endured over the past years.”
