Abdulsalam condemns targeting of civilians in Bani Hushaysh & Al-Wazi’iyah, holds Saudi enemy regime responsible for consequences

The Head of the National Negotiating Delegation Mohammed Abdulsalam held the Saudi regime responsible for the consequences of its crimes, stressing that meeting the obligations of peace is less costly than pursuing aggression and bloodshed, which will bring nothing but further disgrace.

In a post on X, Abdulsalam said that if the Saudi regime believes targeting innocent people will break the Yemeni people’s resolve, it is gravely mistaken. He added that the Yemeni people remain firmly committed to their legitimate right to restore full sovereignty, free from any regional or international tutelage.

He said the Saudi regime continues to target civilians in markets and villages, committing horrific massacres far from battlefronts. Hours earlier, it had targeted Al-Shariya village in Bani Hushaysh District, Sana’a Governorate, as well as rescue workers, preventing them from reaching victims.

He also recalled that the previous day, the Saudi regime committed a brutal massacre at Al-Hadara market in Al-Wazi’iyah District, Taiz Governorate, killing more than 30 civilians and seriously injuring dozens. Images from the scene, he said, exposed the scale of the Saudi enemy crimes and showed that public places were deliberately targeted to cause the highest possible number of casualties, in a manner similar to Israeli actions against the people of Gaza.

Abdulsalam stressed that committing massacres against civilians and targeting factories and remote areas far from battlefronts cannot compensate for military failure. Rather, he said, the humanitarian, moral and legal consequences of such crimes are more severe for their perpetrators than battlefield defeat.
