Abdulsalam: Million-Man March Proves People’s Determination for ‘Siege for Siege’
Yemen’s national delegation head and official Ansarullah spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam has praised the “great Yemeni people” for their million-strong turnout in various squares and the capital Sana’a, describing it as a testament to the people’s firm commitment to the battle for dignity and honor.
In a post on his official account, Abdulsalam stated that “our Yemeni people, through their million-strong march in all conditions, affirm their serious determination to engage in the battle for dignity and honor, and that they are proceeding to establish the equation of ‘siege for siege’ until they achieve their legitimate rights.”
Saudi Has Learned Nothing
He affirmed that “the reality of the situation proves that the Saudi regime has not benefited from lessons and wisdom—that aggression through siege, procrastination in implementing peace entitlements, and attempts to weaken the Yemeni people and confiscate their human rights will not bring it any stability.”
Abdulsalam emphasized that “the Saudi regime must realize that the nearest path to security is to close the file of aggression, completely lift the siege on Yemen, respect the rights of neighbors, and treat them with respect—rather than fleeing from the problem to create bigger problems.”
In concluding his post, Abdulsalam stressed that “the Saudi regime bears full responsibility for the aggression and its persistence in the siege, which has ended the de-escalation phase.” He warned that “any involvement in comprehensive escalation will be disastrous for it.”
Abdulsalam’s statement comes amid escalating tensions following Yemen’s declaration of a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia and a no-fly zone over Saudi airspace, and the massive popular mobilization in support of these measures.
Million-strong marches, held under the banner “Siege for Siege, Escalation for Escalation,” were taken place in Sana’a and other provinces Friday, renewed the absolute mandate to the Leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to take appropriate deterrent measures.
