In a statement , Governor Salam said the “aggression forces” are using their proxies, mercenaries, and armed militias to tear apart the social fabric and tighten control over national resources.
He explained that the suspicious military movements taking place in Aden and the southern governorates—along with mobilization by the so‑called “Presidential Leadership Council” and rival militias—aim to create a “bloody chaos” that serves the agendas of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
He also warned against endangering citizens’ security and stability or dragging them into what he called a foreign‑led proxy war, stressing that the “divide and rule” policy pursued by
the “occupation” has become clear to all free people.
Governor Salam pointed to the suffering endured by residents of Aden and the “occupied areas” over a decade of war and foreign presence, noting that people in the southern and eastern governorates have faced severe repression, including secret prisons, political assassinations, and restrictions on freedoms under the security grip of militias loyal to external powers.
He added that the current situation in Aden is the natural outcome of dependency and subservience pursued by “mercenaries,” which has led to widespread bloodshed and destruction in exchange for “cheap and tainted money.”
According to Salam, the deterioration of services and living conditions in Aden is not merely administrative failure but a “deliberate act” by Saudi and Emirati authorities. He said that policies of humiliation—such as prolonged electricity and water outages and currency collapse—constitute “dirty tools” used to pressure citizens and distract them from the looting of oil and sovereign revenues transferred to leaders “living in hotels abroad.”
Governor Salam reiterated that the path of dignity is the only way to end what he called a dark chapter, calling on residents of the southern and eastern governorates to unite and confront these plans.
He concluded by stressing that the will of the Yemeni people “will not be broken,” and that the sacrifices of “free men” will ultimately “purify every inch of the homeland” from what he described as the Saudi‑UAE occupation and its proxies.
