Head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs Abdulqader al-Murtada on Tuesday revealed key provisions of an agreement reached with the other party to implement a broad prisoner exchange deal.
Al-Murtada said the agreement includes a numerical exchange involving 2,900 prisoners from both sides, with names to be finalized within a month.
It also provides for the recovery and handover of all remains from all fronts through the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the formation of committees to visit prisons after the exchange to identify and release remaining detainees.
