Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that the conditions for a ceasefire between Iran and the United States are clear and explicit, referring to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the U.S., which would also cover Lebanon and other locations.
Araghchi added in a post on the X platform, that the United States must choose between a ceasefire or continuing the war through “Israel,” emphasizing: “It cannot have both.”
He stated, “The world is witnessing massacres in Lebanon. The ball is now in the U.S. court, and the world is watching whether it will fulfill its obligations.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced that Iran and the U.S. had agreed on an immediate ceasefire in all areas, effective from 3:30 a.m. today, following the U.S. acceptance of Iran’s ten-point plan as a basis for negotiations and the ceasefire agreement.
