Araqchi: America’s lack of good faith is biggest obstacle to ending war

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Tuesday that the excessive approach, threatening and provocative rhetoric from the American side, in addition to the United States’ lack of good faith and dishonesty, are the most important obstacles to permanently ending the war and reaching an agreement.

According to Tasnim news agency, Araqchi’s statement came during his meeting with the Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister, Andreas Kravik, in Tehran today.

The Iranian minister affirmed that the main reason for the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz is the American and Zionist military aggression against Iran, and the subsequent repeated violations of the ceasefire, with the continued blockade of Iranian ports.

He pointed out that “Iran, as a coastal state on the Strait of Hormuz, is conducting intensive consultations to develop regulations governing the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.”
