Baghaei: Rubio’s Lies Cannot Replace Facts Regarding Yemen

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that the lies of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio cannot replace the facts, noting that “Ansar Allah” is an independent Yemeni actor that makes its own decisions; it receives orders from no one and acts as a proxy for no one.

In a post on the “X” platform on Thursday-monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba)-he added that “the roots of instability in the region lie in US military interventions and its expansionist policies.”

He explained that “if Washington truly desired peace, it would have taken a simple step: ending its malicious and destabilizing interventions in our region.”

Baghaei stressed that “peace in Yemen cannot be imposed through bombardment and external pressure; rather, it begins with genuine negotiations based on a roadmap agreed upon by the parties.”
