Child Killed, Another Wounded in Saudi-Backed Forces’ Artillery Attack in Taiz

A girl was killed and a boy was wounded after Saudi-backed forces shelled residential homes in Saber Al-Mawadim district of Taiz province, according to a security source.

The source said artillery shells struck homes in Al-Masader village, in the Tabashaa area of Saber Al-Mawadim, killing 13-year-old Burooj Ayman Mohammed Abdullah Mohsen and injuring 14-year-old Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulkarim.

The source condemned the attack on civilians and children, describing it as a “heinous crime” and saying it adds to the record of abuses committed by Saudi-backed forces in areas under their control.

Taiz and other occupied provinces face ongoing chaos, marked by killings, kidnappings, and torture of civilians. Local security forces, complicit in these crimes, have failed to protect the population.

These repeated violations amount to war crimes and breach international human rights law, yet global organizations remain largely silent, offering no accountability for the suffering inflicted on civilians.
