Civil Defense in Gaza: Total Collapse of Life Amid Alarming International Silence

Mahmoud Bassal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, warned that the situation in the Strip has gone beyond a humanitarian crisis, reaching a stage of “total collapse of life” due to the continued harsh conditions endured by the population.

In a brief press statement on Tuesday, Bassal explained that the vast majority of Gaza residents are suffering from ongoing psychological trauma as a result of the continued escalation and the deterioration of living conditions and services, according to the Palestinian news agency Safa.
