Delegation Member: Yemen Confronts Those Who Attack It, Not Others
Yemeni National Delegation member Abdulmalik Al-Ejri said Tuesday that Yemen does not target others, but confronts those who attack it.
Al-Ejri said Saudi Arabia responded to peace efforts aimed at ending the effects of the comprehensive blockade with intransigence and procrastination, adding that attempts to intimidate international parties over Yemeni Armed Forces operations in the Bab al-Mandab are a transparent deception.
He stressed that the Yemeni Armed Forces’ targets are publicly declared and limited to those imposing the blockade on Yemen, noting that the international community understands that Yemen’s actions fall within its legitimate right to self-defense.
In a previous statement, the Armed Forces noted that over the past three days, the Saudi enemy had launched 121 airstrikes against Yemeni provinces—Marib, Al-Baidha, Hodeidah, Taiz, and Al-Jawf—originating from King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait and King Fahd Air Base in Taif.
Among the strikes was the Al-Jawf massacre, which killed a large number of inmates at the central prison in Al-Hazm, including women and children visitors.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to continuing operations into Saudi depth, targeting Saudi mobilizations and upholding the equation of siege for siege until the aggression stops and the siege on Yemen is lifted.
The civilian casualties at Al-Jawf—including women and children—are evidence of Saudi criminality justifying the expanded military response.
