Deputy Foreign Minister addresses international community over Saudi attack on Sana’a Airport

Deputy Foreign Minister for Expatriates Affairs Abdulwahid Abu Ras sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council regarding the Saudi regime’s attack on Sanaa International Airport.

The letter was circulated to UN member states, the UN General Assembly President, the European Union, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, and Arab foreign ministers.

Abu Ras said the attack on Sana’a Airport is a continuation of Saudi aggression against Yemen, which began with targeting the same airport in March 2015.

He criticized Saudi delays in implementing the Omani-mediated roadmap, reopening Sana’a Airport, resolving humanitarian issues, and meeting peace commitments.

Abu Ras held Saudi Arabia fully responsible for the consequences of the attack, stressing the inevitability of a response and the need to lift the blockade on Sana’a International Airport.
