Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirms Yemen’s firm support for Palestinian cause

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, extended congratulations to the Palestinian people and their steadfast resistance on their victory in Gaza over the Zionist enemy.

In a reply letter to the Head of the Leadership Council of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Eng. Mohammed Darwish, Abu Ras reaffirmed the Republic of Yemen’s unwavering position in support of the just cause of the Palestinian people. He stated that this stance stems from Yemen’s religious duty, moral and humanitarian commitment, and reflects the free will of the Yemeni people and their deep emotional bond with the Palestinian cause.

The letter also reviewed Yemen’s military, political, and economic measures aimed at pressuring the Israeli entity to stop its ongoing genocide, blockade, and starvation crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Abu Ras stressed Yemen’s steadfast position despite the sacrifices it has made and continues to make, including the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Israeli entity through targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure, and public facilities. He cited the recent attack on the Prime Minister and members of the Government of Change and Construction in Sana’a, as well as the killing of journalists and media workers, and the political, humanitarian, and economic pressures exerted to alter Yemen’s principled stance in support of Palestine.

He concluded by reaffirming Yemen’s firm and principled position in supporting the Palestinian people and their heroic resistance until the expulsion of the occupation and the full restoration of all Palestinian rights, including the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
