Entisaf Organization Condemns Israeli Occupation Massacre, Shameful Silence in Face of Lebanese Bloodshed

The Entisaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights condemned the brutal massacre perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in the towns of Ansar and Deir al-Zahrani in southern Lebanon, and the shameful Arab and Islamic silence in the face of the Lebanese bloodshed.

In a statement, the organization affirmed that targeting civilians in Lebanon, along with the ongoing violations against civilians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, constitutes a grave violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

The statement also condemned the Israeli occupation’s continued violation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, which threatens the lives of civilians, undermines any efforts to achieve security and stability, and reflects the continued policy of impunity in the absence of deterrent international measures. The statement condemned the shameful silence of Arab and Islamic regimes regarding the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, emphasizing that this continued silence in the face of the targeting of civilians and the resulting casualties is incompatible with the magnitude of the humanitarian and moral responsibility incumbent upon the countries of the region. It sends a dangerous message that civilian blood can be spilled with impunity.

The statement reiterated that continued silence and impunity will only encourage further violations and crimes against civilians.

The statement held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for this massacre and the ongoing violations, calling upon the United Nations, the Security Council, the international community, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take urgent and effective measures to halt the attacks, protect civilians, ensure respect for the ceasefire, launch independent investigations into the crimes committed, and hold those responsible accountable under international law.
