Entisaf Organization condemns Saudi Enemy Massacre against entire family in Nihm

The Entisaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing crimes of the Saudi enemy against civilians and residential neighborhoods in a number of governorates, which have resulted in martyrs and wounded among women and children.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the organization affirmed that the enemy’s airstrikes targeting Nihm District in Sanaa Governorate resulted, according to an initial toll, in the martyrdom and injury of 12 citizens from a single family—with three martyred and nine injured—considering this a horrific massacre and a war crime against civilians inside their homes.

The organization also condemned the targeting of a residential home in the Al-Za’azi’ area of Al-Shamaytein District in Taiz Governorate, which resulted in the martyrdom of one citizen and the injury of four others, including a boy and a girl. This is in addition to the border attacks in Baqim and Munabbih Districts in Saada Governorate, which injured two citizens and an African migrant.

It considered the targeting of homes and civilian objects, and exposing families and children to the risk of death and injury, as a grave violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and international conventions concerned with the protection of civilians during armed conflicts.

The organization stressed that the presence of civilians inside their homes does not justify targeting them under any circumstances, affirming that the inclusion of children among the victims of these attacks reflects the scale of the resulting humanitarian suffering.

It held the Saudi regime legally responsible for the consequences of these crimes, calling on the United Nations and international human rights organizations and bodies to act urgently to stop the Saudi aggression and siege, take measures guaranteeing the protection of civilians, and hold those responsible for these attacks accountable without impunity.

The Entisaf Organization affirmed that crimes committed against civilians will not be subject to a statute of limitations, and that the rights of victims and their families remain. It renewed its call on the international community for serious action to ensure fairness for the victims, achieve justice, and provide reparations.
